Gold Beach is one of the most laid back stops on the trip, but that is what actually makes it one of the best! After a long drive up the Oregon coast we were greeted by our friends that work there and welcomed to a plentiful bar b q supper. Ribs, chicken, beef, beans, potato salad and more filled our plates! After dinner we sang happy birthday and had a celebration for everyone having a birthday on the trip! We feasted prior to kicking back and having a little fun.

After we ate, we kicked back and fired up the karaoke machine. WOOO! Let the fun begin. There are a ton of pictures, here are a sampling.

Pikes Place Market, Seattle

We actually ended our guided tour down at Pikes Market where fresh flowers, fish, and fruit are plentiful!  Free time was given for everyone to explore the market and make purchases.  The fruit is always a big must!

Ivar's Salmon House

A Seattle must is eating Salmon! Ivar's Salmon House sits right on Lake Union with a view of the Seattle skyline and the space needle. It is such a cool night and great food! Almost everyone tried the salmon.

All About Seattle

  Our first BIG city! The group was excited to get out and see what a big west coast city had to offer.  In order to see Seattle in its fullest we had a local tour guide step onto our bus and give us a city tour.  We saw some of the city parks, the lock system along Lake Washington and Pudget Sound, and the salmon run.  It was really neat to see the inner workings of the city.

These are the locks that get the boats back and forth from fresh and salt water.  You can see a boat in the lock waiting to get lowered.

These are the fish laddars.  The salmon swin back into fresh water to lay eggs and eventually die. 

Welcome to Seattle, Space Needle Breakfast

On Sunday morning we ate a nice breakfast in the 360 degree revolving restaurant on top of the Seattle Space Needle.  We dined on Eggs, Canadian Bacon, Potatoes, and fruit.  It was scrumptious. 

After breakfast we went up to the top of the needle and caught a view of the skyline.  Unfortunately, it was cold and rainy but we made the best of it and got some quick shots!
