La Jolla

A beautiful beachisde community and a sunset over the pacific!

San Diego Zoo

Monday morning was spent in the San Diego Zoo, one of the biggest and best Zoo's in the world.  Everyone was given a map and ample time to roam to see all of the animals and attractions!  From the pictures that were shared below and the stories that I heard, it sounds like everyone had a wonderful time.

Laguna Beach, Ca

After we left Hollywood, we headed back to the hotel to change and get ready to go to Laguna Beach.  This beach has become famous in the past few years because of the reality show that is filmed there so everyone was pretty excited to check it out.  It was also their first chance to really "dive" into the Pacific Ocean this summer.  Believe it or not, despite the cold water, many of them did take the plunge.  Enjoy the west coast pictures.  It's gorgeous!

As the evening ended everyone ended up on the beach volleyball court playing a game as the sun set behind them!

Dowling went first, everyone else slowed way down when they felt how cold the water was!

The brave swimmers!

HOLLYWOOD...What's your Dream?

Sunday morning after getting a little sleep we boarded the bus and headed into Las Angeles, Hollywood Boulevard to be exact.  As we drove in we were able to catch glimpses of the Hollywood sign up in the hills.

We pulled up outside the Kodak Theater and Mann's Chinese Theater to get off the bus and check out the Hollywood walk of fame.

Betty White...one funny lady!

Rest in peace!  Andy Griffith died during the first part of our trip!

It's a Small World After All......Disney land

On our second day in Anaheim the group was given a free day to spend as much time as wanted in Disney Land.  Everyone took advantage of Disney Land to its fullest!  There was even some time for lounging by the pool and eating a nice dinner at the restaurants around Down Town Disney!  Because we were not altogether in Disney, the pictures below were donated by different people!  Hope you enjoy!

There's an Angel in the Outfield

Our three night stay in Anaheim began with a steller baseball game at Angel's Stadium!  The first pitch was thrown at 7:05 pm and began with the Angels taking the lead early.  After the Orioles took the lead 3-1 it looked like all hope was lost for the Angels.  But, after a lot of fan fun including the wave and take me out to the ball game we rallied them back to a 3-2 game in the bottom of the 8th.  Unfortunately, they couldn't finish but what a fun game it was to watch!
